Programme Overview

This DBA is a practical programme of strong academic content coupled with advanced business strategies and solutions. On successful completion of the DBA programme students will be able to:

  • Apply relevant theoretical knowledge to contemporary business problems;

  • Determine and apply appropriate research methods to business management problems;

  • Critically evaluate business research studies in order to assess their quality and applicability in improving the effective handling of business management problems; and

  • Identify, analyze and evaluate internal and external environmental influences on organisations in order to develop strategic plans for management.

Study Mode

This programme is delivered via a state-of-the-art online learning platform. 

Most of the course is conducted online so that students are able to complete assignments at a time that suits them.

Assessment Method

All modules are assessed by assignments only. Assignments are written in a business report format. As all assignments use a case-study approach, assessment criteria include:

  • Summative elements – to test the students’ understanding of what was covered in the syllabus and;​

  • Formative elements – to test the students’ practical application of theory

Entry Requirements

Applicants should either posses:​

  1. A Master’s degree from an internationally-recognised academic institution, OR

  2. A recognised Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years work experience at managerial level and be at least 35 years old, OR; 

  3. A minimum 4 years of work experience in executive or senior management positions.
